On Monday 13th November Spotlight will be at New Diorama Theatre with three fully accessible events for our D/deaf and disabled members as part of Spotlight Open House. Take a look at the sessions on offer below and book your free space!

Monday November 13th 10am-11.30am

Audition Technique With Rick Laxton
Rick Laxton CDG will share his insight into all aspects of the auditioning process, with hints and tips on how to make the most of the casting experience. There will be practical work with scripts on taking direction and notes.

Monday November 13th 12.00pm - 13.30pm

Spotlight Open House: Audition Technique for those Smaller Key Roles
Small parts are vital roles in any TV programme. And they’re surprisingly tricky parts to nail in a casting room. It’s a different and difficult skill to get right. This workshop will use practical script work to explore approaches to these roles, examining what Casting Directors are looking for, and what actors can do to increase their chances of success.

Monday November 13th 2.30pm - 5pm

Spotlight Open House: Voice, Breath and Movement Workshop
Through this session we will unlock potential and release the Natural Voice. Using exercises and games the session will cover sustainable voice and breath work to increase stamina and imagination. It will give you techniques to enable a freer and more powerful voice through engaging and accessible practices.
