Rebecca Root: Diversity in Casting

As part of Open House week, Spotlight held a Women and Diversity in Casting Panel. Actress Rebecca Root was joined on stage by Kellie Shirley, Maureen Hughes and Joan Iyiola to discuss diversity in the industry. How does the role of a casting director allow for representation of ethnicities and non-binary gender roles, and whose responsibility is it to ensure that those opportunities exist?
